Is anyone else having issue with activity zones not being observed? I get excessive notifications all day and night long from motion outside of my preset activity zones upwards of 400 per day sometimes if I don’t mute them. Also, how do I save the sensitivity levels? If I set to 40, restart the base station , upon restart, the levels are back to 80. Same results on all cameras, pro 2, ultra, and VDB. Please help because I’m trying everything I can to stick it out with Arlo, but it’s tuff when you have so much invested

I've noticed that if I reboot my base station that the Camera LED Charged Indicator and Spotlight settings revert to ON even though I've turned them off. I've confirmed this by turning those two settings off and resetting tj base station multiple times. I've also just confirmed that my motion detection has stopped working as well.

So I’ve noticed, this all started with the latest firmware update on 4/27/20 to the vmb5000r4 smarthub to 1.16.1.3_510_1a608c1. Went from below 30 triggered recordings before 4/26 to over 150 per day after 4/27. Also on the day of firmware upgrade, I didn’t correlate this but the same camera disconnected and wouldn’t reconnect without manually resyncing with the base

Is there a way to roll back the firmware to a previous version?

Seems like a another related Ultra bug. Just started happening with mine in the last few days. Not that excessive for mine but the battery has been drained and solar is not keeping up even on a sunny day. My Arlo 2s and Arlo are working fine but they are on the old base station. My sympathies. I’ve stuck it out because I’ve had so much invested too. Maybe we all need to send the CEO a letter that there’s a the difference between a hobby and a mission critical product and Ultra comes up way short, at least till now. We are free QA for Arlo!!!!

Same issue here, lots of alerts for activity outside my zone. Certainly won’t be continuing with my upgraded subscription when it expires given no fix can be provided and this seems to happen frequently.

Great point. Vote with your wallet.
Maybe that will make sure Arlo prioritizes this fix! What are we paying for?

In fairness to Arlo, I will acknowledge that I my cameras seem to be back to normal. Currently running version 1.16.1.4_550_7655954 on vmb5000r4 smarthub with 2 ultras, 4 pro2 and the video db. After deleting all camera, rebooting the base, then reinstalling everything including schedules and modes, I still had issues with the ultras not recording any motion. I then had to restart the base station (from the app) at least 2 more times. Now it seems all activity zones on all cameras are being respected. Sad part is that Arlo failed to directly notify me that this needed to be done. No notice of software update, no notice of procedures. I dealt with issues related to a previous update for over a month. Hopefully they won’t break it again

Arlo recently deployed a cloud update enhancing Activity Zone accuracy. This should improve the experience for users reporting symptoms of motion detection alerts and recordings occurring outside of their defined Activity Zones. We are continuing to monitor Activity Zone behavior and will provide additional enhancements in the coming weeks.
