Will the Arlo Ultra 2 connect to an Echo Show 8? Or do I need a Arlo base station?

Would like the advanced features of the Ultra 2 but not if I need to purchase the base station.

The Ultra 2 requires a base station, it cannot connect to your home wifi.  You could consider the Pro 4.
