Basic question on video recordings and meta data stored to local micro sd card.
1. The file structure for video recordings are store in folders such as:
- 000000 - 512 mp4 files stored
- 000001 - 512 mp4 files stored
- 000002 - 512 mp4 files stored
while meta data files structure:
- date format for folder like 20210105
- camera 1 - 36 data files
- camera 2 - 50 data files
- 20210106, etc.
My question to the group, is this a normal file structure that you see for your videos and meta data files? Why wouldn't the system store the mp4 files under the same date format structure as the meta data files? Then they should match up.
Thanks,
Mark

Yeah, that's normal. I don't even know what the metadata folder is for - must be used by the app. I do think the file structure could be set up for mere humans to be able to discern what's what (using camera names instead of serial numbers as well as date folders rather than all in one). The 512 files per folder is also a mystery since there's no limitation except in the root directory.

Thanks for your reply and I agree with you that the structure could be improved.
