Does anyone know how to remove the housing from the back plate for the Totally Security Mount? I exactly follow Arlo’s directions to loosen the bottom skew and turn the housing counter clockwise, but the housing cannot be pull off from the back plate. Technical support can’t help either.

Just guessing here but it would appear that you're simply not turning the mount sufficiently to disengage it. I suppose it's also possible that the screw is still sticking just far enough inside to prevent removal. You could CAREFULLY remove the screw completely so you don't lose it (I think - dunno if it's a "captive" screw).

I have tried all different rotations before I post. Looking at the graphs in the Aro’s instructions, I can’t see anything that is holding the housing. It is really strange. I only have Arlo magnet cable to charge the camera, so I have to remove another regular camera/housing, so I can put this camera in that housing and then charge it.

I think it has to be the screw not completely disengaging.
There are lots of complaints about this particular mount. One option is to break it, and purchase a standard housing.

Were you able to remove the housing from the Total Security mount? I’m having the same problem and tech support was unable to help. I’m thinking that I need to remove the retaining screw completely. It has a washer that prevents screw removal.

It’s a captive screw.

Can you please dm me a callback number as well as a good time to call. That way I can have support look into this further. You send a dm by clicking on the envelope icon on the top right of the forum page.If you don't see it, then go into your profile settings and select preferences, then "Private Messenger." Then select "Turn on private messages" if it is turned off.
