Ultra 2 not picking movement that's close but will pick up car from far? Doesn't record whole time.

My camera does not pick up movement that is close, but will pick up a car in the background.  Also, it doesn't stay recording for the whole time they are moving.  How do I get it to record the whole time and how do I get it to pick up every movement?

I've googled how to change the sensitivity and the instructions are not correct.  If someone can direct me to updated instructions, I would appreciate it.

It is in the Rules for the cam. You have to select the arrow for the Motion is detected part of the rule to get there.
