Ok, absolutely frustrating.

I have connected the smarthub via ethernet cable to internet router.    Smarthub comes up as online on Arlo secure app, although its status is idle (nothing connected).

I have tried installing Ultra 2 cameras.  I have charged the battery.  I have pushed the "sync" button. I have done a factory reset.   I have switched off local wi-fi routers to ensure there is no interference.

What else can I do?

Use the app to add the cameras. Follow the steps there.

 jguerdat, I have done that.

I have placed support requests to Arlo without success . I can't contact anyone for help - WHAT A JOKE.

The sync button is used as a last resort, when prompted.

Normally, you would use the app, choose the proper camera model, and follow the directions in the app. That should be to insert the battery and observe the blue LED slowly blinking while the system tries to locate the camera. The hub LED should also be blinking. You say you turned off your WiFi but that would be needed so your phone is on the same network as the hub. If using a computer, it would need to be connected via Ethernet.

Describe your process as well as what you see at each step so we have a full understanding of what is happening since we can't see.

I’m having the exact same issue.

Are you still experiencing this symptom?

May I ask which troubleshooting steps you have tried so far? I don't want to suggest anything you have previously performed.
