Question about base station

Dear Community.

I am wondering about one thing about the base station: When downloaded the app, creating account, adding the base station to the app, no confirmation is required on the base station.

Does this mean that anyone on the street just can add my base station if they got the app and an account?

No.
The porting of the Base station to the arlo app require them to be on the same local network. That is by using the arlo web portal on a pc connected to the router or from the mobile app connected to the router’s wifi.

More specifically, the base is tied to your account, regardless of network. No one else can claim the base while it's on your account.
