My friend gave me his arlo ultra 2 4k system that he never hooked up. 4 cameras plus the home base station. All of the cameras are model  vmc5040. 3 of the cameras have the white pushbutton on the bottom to open the case, and one of the cameras has a hex head screw that pops the case off, as well as a different mounting base?

The camera with the hex screw on the bottom charges and works, but the other 3 cameras will not charge.  I have now bought 2 different magnetic charging cables, and all 3 cameras do the same thing. When I plug a camera in, the blue light comes on for a second, then the two small red infrared lights come on for a second and i hear a clicking, like the lens in focusing, and then all lights go out.. about every two minutes i will hear the click and the lights blink, and thats it. The charger is an official arlo charger..  When i remove the battery from the one camera thats charging and put it in another camera, it will work.  So what are the actual chances that 3 of the batteries are defective when they were barely used? All 3 cameras do the same thing. I have not been able to find anything online where the blue light comes on, then makes a click sound then shuts off. Any help would be great. This was a very expensive system

What happens if you put the battery from a camera that isn't charging into one that is charging?

If he purchased a long time ago, then it is possible that three of the batteries fully discharged during storage.  It can be tricky to coax them back to life.

Although this article is for a different camera model, it is worth a try:

A standalone charger likely also will successfully charge the batteries.  Arlo's is this one:
