Local Storage

I have an Arlo Ultra 2 camera setup with accompanying smart hub (VMB5000 NA). Everything has been great. I’m having trouble with the smart hub saying that formatting is required when I insert a micro sd card, but it doesn’t give the ability to do so. I have tried two cards. One being a San Disk Extreme 256 GB UHS1, V30, U3, A2 micro sdxc 1 card. The other is a Samsung Evo select with the same configuration. Am I using the wrong type of card or is it a base issue?
