How to charge rechargeable battery outside of the camera?

I bought an extra rechargeable battery. 

Do I need a special charger to charge it with or will the magnetic charging cable work??

You either need to charge it inside the camera, or purchase an external charger.

It would be nice if they put that information in the product's details. 

I probably would not have purchased it if I knew I had to get another gadget.
