Can’t format SD

Hi. I’m trying to format my SD card, but the app won’t let me. This is the second new SD I have tried to no avail. Any suggestions?

What specific cards have you tried?

Hi Stephen, 

thanks for the reply. I have tried two cards. The first a Sanddisk Extreme Pro SDXC and the second one a Samsung 256 Evo plus micro SDXC.

My son thinks they have ‘exfat’ which isn’t readable and he can’t change that on our Mac. He tried and it seems to have ruined the cards as they are now not readable.

They do need to be formatted as FAT32, not exFAT.
