We have a piece of legacy equipment with a 5" black and orange display that we need to be able to monitor remotely to see if it is running.  We had an idea to install an Arlo camera to view the screen remotely.  Does anyone know if an Arlo camera can be focused on a video screen?  Is there any way to manually focus an Arlo camera?   We don't need to see it perfectly but. well enough to see if the device is running.

There is no manual focus.

Hard to say whether this idea will work or not, as it depends on the details of what you need to see on the screen in order to know whether the device is working or not.

The extreme wide angle view along with the aperture size gives an in-focus distance of inches to infinity. I remember seeing something from Arlo explaining the effective overall distance that items are in reasonable focus but I can't quickly find it again. Wide angle lenses have an inherent deep depth of field distance for any particular aperture.
