I have owned the Arlo ultra (4 cameras and base)
for several years now. My batteries were dead and I was slow to get them all up and running again. We are about to go on vacation, so I got everything up and running only to find that there is no seven day cloud storage. Where I normally view my recent recordings I am now being prompted to subscribe to a plan.?? What happened and how does this get fixed. I chose this particular product because a monthly subscription was not required. I was promised seven day cloud storage without a subscription. Please help. We leave town soon!

Can you confirm what the camera model numbers are, the pro2 cameras were the last model with the free cloud storage feature. Ultra cameras require a subscription to record to the cloud.
The Base station should be the 5000 hub with the SD card slot. The earlier base station should be a 4xxx model with a USB slot.

There never was 7-day free cloud storage for the Ultra. Are you certain you have the right model? If you open the housing and remove the battery, you will find a label inside.
The Ultra and VMB5000 base does support direct access to local storage - is it possible you were using that feature? There was an issue with it recently - Arlo pushed out firmware over the weekend to resolve it. Try restarting your base, and see if that helps.

The challenge here is that the Ultra never had 7-day cloud storage. Originally it shipped with a 1-year subscription included. There was a huge customer backlash, and Arlo responded by rolling out the direct access to local storage feature shortly before the 1-year subs ran out.

So the puzzle here is how you actually got the cloud storage for the Ultra.
