Question: I have to purchase a second hub which is very costly to make the system work. I live in a small 2500sqft house. The cameras are 30' or less from the original hub but not making a connection. Why is a second hub necessary?

Thank you for your help/assistance

Is there anything between the hub and the cameras that might be blocking the signal?

Can you pair the cameras when they are closer to the hub?

To utilize the new hub, the cameras need to be removed from the old one first. Have you done that? The cameras can only connect to one hub/base at a time.

  • Unfortunately it was necessary to purchase & install a second hub. There was nothing other than the standard walls between the first hub & cameras but we were never able to hook up more than 2 cameras to the original hub. Distances far less than 300 feet.

FYI, 300 feet is a WiFi maximum distance in a perfect world with no kind of interference at all. It basically will never happen.
