Hi,
I'm unable to view locally stored videorecordings. App crashes everytime.
Tried reinstalling app, formatting microSD card.
All other things work except locally stored videorecordings.
They worked to watch, after press download in app for appr 3 weeks.

The symptom where viewing locally stored videos causing the app to crash should now be resolved with Arlo app version 5.4.2.
Please make sure you have the latest version of the Arlo app installed.

This symptom has been identified and a fix for this is coming soon. The update is in a slow roll out phase at the moment and looks to be completed soon.
Thank you for your patience

With update 5.4.3, there is no pause button for viewing recorded videos. Also, when in expanded live view, it uncontrollably pans.

Hi @JP-FR
Got more details regarding "unable to access SD card". I have been able to do so, since aug/sept 2024, when I first switched to local.
No subscription, Android, smart hub 5000.
Just to confirm you know that:
- Only main login account can view local recordings (ie SD)
- When app not connected to same home wifi network as hub, you need extra configuration on VPN or port forwarding, to make this work

@JP-FR wrote:Same here with ultra 2 & app 5.4.2_28786 => yes 6
Android 13 & ONE UI 5.1
No crash but no access to video on SD CARD but access ok with SD CARD on LAPTOP (sorry i'm French)
so while you have SD card issue with the latest 5.4.3, the issue was actually since at least 5.4.2. And my 5.4.2 was fine with:
- no app crash
- access to SD card fine from app
- playing local recordings fine from app
Looks like the issue was not newly introduced to you by 5.4.3.
Did you remember when your SD card access was last fine before? What version was that? Did you uninstall then re-install the app at certain point? or change you home VPN/port-forwarding setting?
Alex
