Android Samsung S10 , microphone feature is not working. Seeing the icon but not dark.

Can someone please tell me how to fix the problem of my microphone not working from my phone's end?

 

I can see the microphone icon on my app on my phone - yet - it is not dark - it is light (as in, not enabled).  I went  into my settings and enabled everything  - yet - still - the microphone (and other other features) are not dark.... i press them and nothing happens.


Tired of this thing.

WHat about the app permissions in the phone settings?
