Despite my set activity zone being set to clearly exclude the road, my camera still records every car that passes by. I need it to detect vehicles that may come in my driveway but not everyone that drives past my house. I have changed sensitivity and the only thing that stops it is to zoom in tight but that eliminates the area I need to see.

You may need to reduce the sensitivity more in your modes and rules. I don't have a setup like yours but my doorbell uses a zone and a motion sensitivity setting of 25.

When I set up my activity zones on mine I had to go and activate the trial subscription and then move the cameras in the app to being monitored. Activity zones don't work without the subscription. I was having the same problem, every car that drove by set them off. I tried going down to 40 on sesitivity but it still happened. Now i'm at 80 on sesitivity and my zones work. I think they should add that to their selling point: You need to subscribe at 14.99 a month or pay for the data on your phone and watch a hundred little clips every day!

You can use Activity Zones without a subscription if on AC power. Glad you got it working.

What are activity zones and how do I create them? (arlo.com)

The article you quote says not for Ultra. Ultra needs a suscription. Pro 4 and Pro 3 and Pro 3 floodlight work if connected to ac power.

I've been wrong before and probably will be again.
