Signed up for Smart Plan and supposed to get first month free trial but got charged

I installed my new cameras and last week received an email from ARLO to get the first month free trial on a Smart PLan.  When I signed up I was charged for the first month with no option for free trial.

I have been trying to contact someone at ARLO and have two case numbers floating around with no return email.

Any ideas?
