I have a a mix of Arlo (original) and Arlo Q cameras. 4 are active. I am trying to activate another Arlo Q but I can't, the app and the site says "A paid subscription is required to activate the device."
According to this page, the "free" tier allows for 5 cameras
Any ideas?

It sounds like you're setting up a 6th camera which would mean you would need a plan for it. However, it used to be that you could deactivate cameras (in Settings, Subscription?) so a different one could be activated, keeping the 5 camera limit. I don't know if that's still there so poke around.
If you truly only have 4 cameras total and you're setting up a 5th one, that's different. Use the Contact Support link at the bottom here.
