Here’s my issue. Doesn’t matter which camera I have many Arlo 5’s and 4’s. It’s windy, my table cover on the patio blows in the wind and I get a motivation of animal detected or even vehicle detected. Neither are true. I get them over and over and over. So I turn off notification for animal detected for the affected camera. All well and good that I can turn it off by type of motion. Except it doesn’t work that way. Now instead of getting animal detected I get the generic motion detected for the camera. I realize I can turn off all notifications but I only want to turn off the incorrectly identified notifications. I don’t believe I’ll ever have a vehicle on my deck yet I get notified of that very thing. Isn’t it supposed to be working behind the scenes like 1. I see motion. 2. What kind of motion do I think it is? 3. Am I supposed to notify of this Categorized motion? But instead it seems to work like this 1. I see motion 2. I think it’s a vehicle 3. Oh, the owner says don’t notify me about vehicles 4 . So I’ll just call it generic motion detected and still notify the owner. I do software development for a living. Never in my life have I seen software that is so poorly designed, and full of bugs with little to no useful support. Reinstalling the app isn’t going to fix it. My wife has same issue on her phone as we have 2 homes and two accounts.

The server processes behind the scenes that detect the subject in the videos can't handle each possible variation of motion so it's taking a best guess based on its rules. You can donate the videos (select or view a video and use the menu to do so) so the team can identify (hopefully) the issue and make changes.

Understood. And it’s best guy each time is the same wrong guess. So when I say don’t notify me about this type of guess it just changes the guess to something else and still notifies me. If you think it’s a vehicle and have told me that for the last 100 motions because of wind and I say stop sending vehicle notifications don’t then change it to generic motion detected because vehicle notification is disabled. Also I have submitted videos but there is no place to tell them what the problem is and I doubt they are smart enough to figure out what’s wrong. Thanks for your reply!!

If the goal is to eliminate unwanted notifications, then you might want to
- add activity zones
- adjust the motion sensitivity
