I'm on a free month of Smart Premier. Still no way to use activity zones without AC power?

Why can't I use activity zones on battery? I see lots of old threads about this but no solutions. Im on a 1 month trial of Premier and it won't let me use activity zones still without AC power. My dad has Pro cameras that allow him to do this just fine.

This is what the manual says:

"Your Arlo Pro 2 camera can be plugged in, or it can run on battery power from its
rechargeable battery. Plugging in the camera recharges the battery, and allows
you to use more features, including activity zones, video analytics, and a continuous
video recording (CVR) plan with the Look Back feature."

So, no mains = no zones.

There is support for Arlo stuff, including manuals, at the end of this link:

Just pick your model.

See the section Activity Zones and CVR Are Not Working.

Try connecting power to camera and set zones then unplug it.
