Activity Zones not working with smart subscription. Showing that I need to be connected to AC power?

Hi everyone,
We have brand new cameras installed with the smart subscription however the app and online portal both are saying that AC power needs to be connected in order to have the active zones working. Isn't the whole point of the subscription is you don't have to have AC power connected?

Are your cameras showing that they are active on the Arlo Smart subscription list when going to Settings > Subscription > Manage Cameras?

I think the activity zones are simply not very accurate. I have 2 cameras plugged in to AC and three running on batteries. I still get some notifications for motion clearly inside of the zones from time to time, and on both plugged and unplugged units. I think for the most part it works, but its not 100%.
I think it might also be tied in to your sensitivity settings. That probably has an over lapping effect.
