I recently added the Arlo Security system - primarily so that I would know when a door opens or closes when at home alone or at night.  I understand the "routines".  But what I would like and have so far not figured out is for the chime to NOT ring while in 'stand by' but TO ring with the system armed.  I do not need the door to chime all day on the weekends when the house is full of people going in and out all day.  It desensitizes you to the sound.  I only want it to chime with the system armed.  I have found where you can turn the chime off completely but not where you can enable/disable the chime in the different routines.  Seems it's either off or on, unrelated to the routine.  Is there a way to accomplish this?

There's no option for this. The only setting is in the hub settings to either enable or disable the chirp which you would have to do manually. I agree it would be a useful setting for the hub's rule. I suppose you could remove the hub from the Standby mode to see if that works.

We recently installed our security system and I have this same question re the all in one sensor chiming every time a door opens when in standby mode, I really only need it to make make noise when in Home or Away mode. I chatted with support and they said to remove the sensor and rule from standby mode. That did not work. Other suggestion was to remove it all together and then add again as a new device. I cannot get the blue light to turn off either to sense motion when in standby mode. I am open to any thoughts or suggestions on this. Thanks!

The setting for the door open/close chime is in the security hub settings under Audio Settings. There's no setting to disable it in modes and rules or any other place so it's either on or off.

What blue light are you referring to?
