I thought I'd point out to the dev team @ShayneS that cameras report different statuses in the app and on the web. In the app: This device is idle but available ..., whereas on the web, it's This device is currently in the Arm Home mode and is detecting motion. It's yet another issue in the long list of issues, isn't it @ShayneS ?

FWIW, I think the web version is much clearer. "idle but available" sounds like the camera isn't armed.

I really don't get how they can get it so wrong. Honestly, it's elementary stuff.

@Edinburgh_lad1 Can you provide the steps to replicate this?

Just go into the device settings in both my.arlo.com and the phone app.
- The web page says "This device is currently in the XXX mode and is detecting motion" right under the camera name.
- The app says "This device is idle but available to detect motion, audio, and view live video" in the same place.
The web text is much clearer.

Exactly that. Just simply go into the app and the web and check the status.

Got it, I remember seeing this before, but I don’t have that option right now, which caused the confusion. Thanks for clarifying. I’ll look into why some users have this feature. Appears to be only missing on iOS.
I'll see why there are differences in status as well.

I just received confirmation that the dev team is currently investigating this report. I will provide an update as soon as we have more information to share with the community.
Thanks!

Also @ShayneS I thought I'd say that I can see the message 'the camera is in arm away mode and is detecting motion', BUT this message appears for cameras that are and are NOT detecting motion, so not really accurate.
