Ignoring for a moment that “appear offline” is a contradiction, how can I be getting alerts (continually, sometimes) from a camera that is offline.

I have two arlo installations (one here, one miles away) and the one that is miles away has 3 different camera types - one connected by POE, which works fine (so the network is connected), several of the old “Base-station-only” types and several of the newer wifi-or-base-station types.  All of the wireless cameras at this remote site show as “appear offline”.  They were all working fine until a week ago, then they all “appeared offline” yet they still sending alerts.  Ancient Panasonic cameras are still faithfully sending their 640x480 images on the hour,  and APC can poll the UPS, so it would seem to be an APC problem.

Any thoughts?

Hi @ploughguy

Are you still experiencing these symptoms?

Shayne,

Thanks for your response.

I went to the site to investigate and found that the Arlo gateway had its middle light flashing yellow.  I restarted it and it sprang back to normal.

The rest of the network at the site was functioning normally.

Root cause of problem undetermined.

If it happens again I’ll update.
