Not sure what is going on but my cameras have been struggling to stream video and record without glitching out.

Notably my doorbell, I’ve attached a picture below. This thing has its battery drain so quickly now, it notifies me of motion when the picture is well glitched, and is so delayed when someone rings the bell.

I also get this kind of glitch on my USB powered cam.

I am not sure if there was an update to the base station or something but this was not an issue a month ago. I’ve tried moving the BS closer, power cycling the devices. I am out of ideas now.

Anyone else having this issue in recent days?

It is a corrupted bitstream - usually a result of a poor wifi connection somewhere on the signal path.  Is the USB powered cam also Arlo?  Or is it a different model?

The wifi speed do you get on your phone at the doorbell location (using the free Ookla speedtest app).   Note upload speed is most important for the doorbell (and download for the phone).

Hi @Estevens87

I can see that the doorbell has poor signal to the base station. Is there any chance you can move the base station slightly closer to the doorbell to see if the live streaming, motion detection, recordings improve?

So it’s only 2 bars not 3, the base station hasn’t moved at all. I don’t have any other 2.4ghz ssid broadcasting or anything.

I can try to move it a bit but I’m limited to where it can be. It has been in the same place for years.

@Estevens87 You can also try connecting the doorbell directly to your router to see if you have any improvement with the signal/image.
