Bank fees for Arlo subscription based in Ireland when using PayPal

I just found out that my bank adds a 3% fee when PayPal (linked to the account) pays my Arlo Subscription because Arlo subscription is based in Ireland and Bank Australia considers this an international transaction.
Any thoughts on how to avoid this?
Move banks etc.
Does anyone else have this experience using PayPal?
I have never had this fee applied for any other PayPal transactions. I thought that using PayPal would have avoided this situation. PayPal don't add any fees to my Activity statement for the Arlo subscription. The 3% is only taken out by Bank Australia and retained by them, according to their Customer Service Rep. who referred me to this statement on the Bank Australia web site for fees:
