I have just received yet another notification of a proposed 2026 Arlo Secure Plan price increase (UK) and would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts on this. Considering the ongoing issues I am still having with my camera (Pro5s), and the poor customer service response from Arlo Europe I really cannot see how they can justify this increase?

@BrookeN Thanks for the information. Could you explain to me which additional services Arlo provides on top of the legacy single camera subscription of 4 euro a month. The migration to Arlo secure only provided me prices increases, while AI innovations are for the US market only.

 

I still have one camera at my family on the locked legacy schema with exact same service for 60% lower price.

 

Both cameras record to the same cloud infrastructure and have smart alerting.

Dear All,

I find the increase unfair; a rise of more than 46% is difficult to justify. I am disappointed, as I trusted your products when I made my purchase last year.

This decision nearly doubles the price, which places an unreasonable burden on existing customers. Given your dominant market position, this increase feels excessive.

I kindly ask you to reconsider this decision and review the pricing in a more reasonable and logical manner.

The same price increases have been applied to us here in Sweden, too. A whole 40% increase to cover costs incurred by AI services that we have no way of opting out of. I can accept annual price increases but 40% in one year is shameful.

I've just been alerted to a 40% price increase happening in 2026. Apparently this is due to Arlo deciding to use AI technology. I understand that AI costs money and that Arlo have taken this decision so they can 'continue to deliver the best AI-driven safety' but as customers we have no choice. There's no way to opt out so we have to accept the price increases.

 

I think this seems unfair and I'm disappointed. I've only ever had a good experience with Arlo but I am now looking at alternatives.

 

Has anyone done a price comparison with alternatives?

Why has my monthly charge increased by 40% ? The service hasn’t got 40% better?
