My first issue is that every time this app starts it wants me to "Sign in to Apple Account".  I have to just cancel to get past this but why do I get this prompt?

The second is does anyone else have problems while swiping left or right while viewing recordings?  It used to work as expected but it broke for me 4 or 5 updates ago.  Now while viewing a video if I swipe either direction the target video is either black or if I am in full screen it loses the screen dimensions.  I have to go back to feed view or devices view to select the next video.

Are you still experiencing the symptom? We recommend logging into your iOS account directly on your device, which should resolve the prompt when launching the Arlo app.

Hi @DSallee

The swiping and scaling symptom is a know behavior and the team Is investigating.

For the signing in to apple account symptom. Are you using the Arlo app?

What is the error you are receiving? Do you have a screenshot you can provide.

Which troubleshooting steps you have tried so far? I don't want to suggest anything you have previously performed.

I have disabled icloud and whatever I thought arlo options might require an apple login.

I tried to upload the screen shot here but every attempt ended up with an empty picture.  Here is a link to the discussion I had here.

There is a screen shot there.

Sorry

@DSallee I have a few additional questions. The team is investigating.

What is the OS version of your iPhone and model of the phone?

Does this occur on any other iOS devices if you have any others to test?

Do any other apps ask for this sign in option?

Are you using Beta OS by chance?

Was this Arlo app downloaded from the App Store: "Arlo Secure Home Security"

Would you be able to provide a screen recording from your phones Home Screen then opening the app and doing your cancel method to get past this screen?

Hi @DSallee

I’d like to share an update: the team is working on a fix to remove the sign-in prompt for users who are not logged into iCloud or prefer not to use an iCloud account. The update is expected soon, and I’ll provide more information as it becomes available.

That's awesome.  I was beginning to think I may be the only one this is happening to.

Thank you
