While 5.5.1 disappeared for update for some time, 5.5.2_28806 has been pushed out!

 

Same question: has anyone updated to it, what bugs does it fix?  Does it fix the following outstanding ones?

  • geofencing not working all the times
  • cannot pause playback of (locally?) recorded footage
  • (any more?)

It seems the pause thing was fixed, not because of 5.5.2, see this message

 

So I don't really understand what 5.5.2 does.

  • "library" version crashing when clicking push notification (reference)

i updated to 5.5.2 28806 and always the same issue, i think we are forced to get a plan...

I have no plan, for many weeks now i can't access local files, LAN or WAN are same.

clear cache, reinstall...

 

No files in feeds, no file in device/storage

 

if i put the SD card on my laptop SURPRISE the files are here and can be played.

 

I updated to 5.5.3 28810 few minutes ago and... same...

sounds like your case is a separate one (at least no other community users are complaining about this)

 

The ARLO system doesn't seem to recognize the SD card, even though the card is "normal" by itself.

 

Have you tried telling ARLO app to format the SD card (and of course erasing everything there), before trying to recognize it again?

 

If so, I would suggest trying another SD card (format from app) as my last resort.

 

(The first key step I'd like to achieve is recognizing the card from the app)

I also just updated to version 5.5.3 28810.

No change here either. Problem still exists.

I'm guessing you have a VMB5000 (since other bases would need an adapter to use a microSD card).  Is that the case?

 

Do you have another device you can try installing the app on?  For instance an iPad or Android tablet?  Or maybe test with a family member's phone?

Yes when i am on my wifi (LAN) i have the problem.

 

For your other question i have a VMB5000 and 2x ULTRA 2

I think generally the app is the problem.  But you've taken the steps that tend to rule that out.

 

If you have no other devices to try, then I think the next step is to remove the cameras and base from the account, do a paper-clip reset on the smarthub, and then add everything back.  Definitely a PITA, but this step was needed with one of my own smarthubs (not recently though).

agree.  Something is not right with the hub.  On one hand, it DOES read the SD card (and shows card usage), but on the other, "error obtaining your library" (even if there is no recording saved, it should show just blank, not "error")

 

And @JP-FR , just to make sure this before you take these big suggestions by @StephenB --- have you reset the hub via DEVICES >> (hub) >> (hub) >> "Restart" button ?
