Hi,
I just buy my Arlo Q camera and the fonction " Push to talk" don't work. What am I doing wrong ?
I press on the microphone to talk, I wait until the green microphone is on the screen...then I press and hold the microphone and talk...and a icon appear telling me "Connection failed " ...
I try on differents Android tablets and got the same message...Is it the fault of the Android Application ? I can't try it on my PC because i don't have microphone 😐
My signal is really good...the output value is 8.75 mbits/sec..input value is 18.98 mbits/s. What am i doing wrong?

Does the mic in the tablets work with other prgms like skype, record prgm, etc ??
Also, list the OS version and device name as it sometimes helps when attemping to re-create your problem

Cassidy,
What firmware is your Arlo Q currently running? Log in to your Arlo account and navigate to Settings > My Devices > select your Arlo Q > Scroll down to check firmware version.
Are you still experiencing this issue?

"Does the mic in the tablets work with other prgms like skype, record prgm, etc ??"
YES without problems.
What firmware is your Arlo Q currently running?
Firmware : 1.7.2_5092
Tablets:
Samsung Galaxy tab 4 android ver:4.4
RCA 10 Pro Edition RCT6103W46 android ver: 4.2.2
" Push to talk " work with Windows 10 64 bits with a microphone but not on the tablets...I have a minimum of 4 gigabytes FREE on both tablets on the intern memory and the double on external memory...but I still receive this message
: "Connection failed....Try again..."
Still waiting for solution

I don't have 3g/4g data connections...
I just have WI-Fi connection 2.4 ghz and 5 Ghz wifi
One tablet can connect the 2 kind of connection (samsung)
The other one just connect with 2.4 Ghz connection (RCA PRO10)

I'm having the same issue. It worked when I first bought the device, but I haven't been ablew to get the microphone feature to work on any of my phones or tablets for awhile now. I did make sure that the firmware was updated. Won't work from a Samsung S5, Note, S7, or iPad.

"Push to talk" seem to work with the new Android update of May 17 on Google Play Store...I don't receive anymore any error message and I can hear my message when I use CVR to replay it.
But...one of my tablet cannot be upgrade...android 4.2 ..

Cassidy,
Are you saying you are not able to install the update on the tablet running Android 4.2? Do you get any error messages?

"Are you saying you are not able to install the update on the tablet running Android 4.2? Do you get any error messages?"
EXACT, it tell me version is incompatible with my device...check the picture and use Google Translator to understand 😛
Android Version
AND if I install the new version on my newest tablet than I use less (because only 7 inches, I use my 10 inches tablet with 4.2.2 version all day) It make my ARLO Q to crash as soon as I use the New application...I Have to take out the new application , reset tha camera ans reinstall oldest application to make the ARLO Q to work again..I Talk about 7 hours with 3 differents technicians at your technical support to try to explain that to them...English isn't my first langange...I use Google translator to talk with them by phone...It is painful for me to try explaining technicals difficulty...BUT no Phone French support in Canada ; 😛
This picture is for Allen Netgear Technician
Now you have all information 😉

Since you're on old (obsolete?) hardware and zokftware, consider rooting your tablet and installing a custom 6.01 ROM such as Cyanogenmod. The discussion is beyond this forum so feel free to PM me if you want. I'm doing this on a Nexus 10 tablet that will never be upgraded beyond Lollipop.
