If Arlo Q drops connection, do I need to do a complete reinstall?

So i have had several instances with arlo q dropping from wifi and needing to do a complete reinstall with, getting the amber light, use bar code, etc to get the camera online. My wifi router is within 20 feet, and its a...question: if the arlo q drops connection does it have to go through the whole process each time...or shouldnt it remember past settings to re connect?

if just the wifi is dropping, and still powered it should retain it's settings.
