Camera is hot when plugged in. Is this normal?

It is normal for the Q cam to be warm ( hot is a relative term ) to the normal touch...

As it is always on, and can be warmer with the IR running.

 

If the Q gets to hot, it has a thermal switch inside and will shut down...gives messg like your cam must cool down...tho I've never seen it, last time someone had theirs on a heat radiator

Thank you TomMac, hot being about 90F, in the shade . Way warmer than the outdoor wireless ones.

Don't forget that the wireless ones are almost fully off to save battery until motion is detected.  The Q cameras are powered so are always on in a tight container.
