Can I use arlo just as a pet webcam?

So I got an arlo for Christmas and I am unable to make a return on it.  It looks like it has features that I do not need.

Is it possible to set this up just as a webcam that I can use to monitor my pets?  Essentially I don't want it to upload footage to the cloud to save and don't want to use it for motion detection, etc.

Really I just want it to work as a standard tilt, pan, zoom webcam.  I haven't opened the package yet.  Thoughts?

Arlo does not do pan/tilt/zoom. Doesn't support upload to a web page like a web cam.

You can set it up and MANUALLY view you pet any time you want, Or have it detect motion if it moves around with or without alerts.

apps are for ios/android , also web browser
