Arlo q issue when connected to extender

I have a new virgin media hub 3 on the first floor and a tp link 300mps range extender downstairs which shows full connection to the hub giving 90 odd meg connection. The Arlo q canera is about 6 metres away from the range extender,but shows only 25 per cent connection with flashing purple led. The main hub 3 is set to 2.4 and 5 ghz output and the range extender works with both frequencies. Any ideas how to improve camera connection. The old Virgin hub 1 worked a treat with 100 per cent connection through the tp link set up. I have reset the camera and linked it sever times but no difference.

that's strange...
You would think it links to the extender being close by.
Have you checked you routers( and extender) attached devices to see which it is connected to... it may be linked to the main router , not the extender
