Hi, can I have the camera recording all the time without sending alerts?

can I have the camera switched on so I can watch but not record so I don't keep getting alerts

Yes, go into the active Mode your using and uncheck the pushes/alerts

The camera will still record as normal, just not send them out

You can also create a custom mode with the alerts OFF and that way can use the MODE with/without alerts with a button press..
