I have an Arlo system with two wireless cameras and want to add an Arlo Q (plug v batteries) with audio, but the synch procedure indicates I need a WiFi independent of the Arlo Base? The main reason I like the system is I do not have an independent WiFi where the cameras are. Is this correct, that an independent WiFi is needed for the Arlo Q? If so, it will be a return and something you should very much look at fixing. Seems bizarre not to have an Arlo Q synch to the same Base as the battery powered cameras!

Yes, the Q cameras use your home WiFi instead of the specific one with a base.
