I'm trying to reduce the amount of wires and clutter in my kitchen area and I'm wondering if I purchased a shorter cable and used and iPhone Power adapter if that would work properly?

I know Netgear recommends that we use their wires and power adapter but 10 feet of wire is a lot!

Yes, for the Q cameras that should work fine providing your adapter outputs at least 1.5a ( and the cable is the right micro usb )

Can you link where it shows the power adapter needs to output at least 1.5a? Thanks

look on the current adapter, it is printed there as to the current output...

Listed as 2.0a at 5v  ( tho I have run it on 1.5 )

And everything runs properly? Why do they reccomend using in a 2.0a at 5v if it will work on 1.5?

I'm literally considering using the Nest Power Adapter with the Arlo Q (5v/1.4a) because the design allows the USB to plug into the top of the adapter to plug into tight places.

If it's not too much trouble - can you please reply with all the stats / numbers on the back of the power adapter that comes with the Arlo Q?
