I just got the VMC3040 and set it up. All went fine.
When I watch a live feed from it I hear a buzzing noise, sort of like the buzz over a radio around flourescent lights. I don't have any flourescent lights in teh house.
The unit picks up sound fine, and seems to respond ok to sound and motion detection.
Raising or lowering teh speaker volume has no impact.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't use the sound capability so I'm not help but there's a microphone setting in your mode/rule for the camera. Have you tried adjusting that? Also, is it the same using both the app and browser? Have you tried the other?

Thanks for your response.
It is the same on either the browser or the app.
If I turn off the microphone the sound goes away but I can't listen to what's going on in the room,, and the unit won't capture video on hearing a sound.
Thanks again for your time.

By "microphone setting" I meant a volume/sensitivity slider, not the on/off switch.

The volume sensitivity is labeled "Speaker Volume". I have tried adjusting that up and down thinking it might be some sort of feedback issue, but it didn't affect the problem at all.
Thanks again.

Nope, edit your mode, edit the rule, in the top section labelled "If the following" edit Detects Sound and try adjusting the mike.

Guess I'd try two things:
- Reposition the camera temporarily to see if the symptoms change
- Open a trouble ticket

JustLearning,
Are both the microphone and the speaker enabled in your camera settings? What is indicating that audio is not working? Please give us more details about the issue so we can help.
