Pre-Trigger Recording

Since the change to the new Arlo platform the Pre-Trigger Recording doesn't work. In fact a few seconds after the trigger is also lost. This sometimes results in nothing of value being recorded as the subject has completely passed through the camera view before recording.

Are you running 1.13.0.0_95_a58d08a_db3500 firmware? (from 2023).

 

Seems to me that the foresight feature is probably baked into the firmware (and not dependent on the Arlo Cloud).

I'm running 1.13.0.0_95_a58d08a_db3500e firmware. The APP responds no updates available.

That's a good thing actually.

 

Have you tried power-cycling the camera to see if foresight comes back?

A reboot didn't change the lack of Pre-Trigger Recording.

I deleted the detection zones and this didn't resolve the issue.

Yes I'm still seeing this issue.

The start of recording is so delayed someone can sometimes walk right through before recording starts, it's that late.
