Arlo Q Plus: can't format SD card

I inserted the correct type of SD card, and now my Arlo Q Plus says "Format Required." 

There is no button to press to do the formatting (the manual says there should be). 
There is no button to press to eject the SD card so I can format it elsewhere (the manual says there should be). 

All I have in Storage Settings are:

SD Card Recording     (on/off switch)

SD Card Status            Format Required

Available Storage             - 

Overwrite Automatically    (on/off switch)

Just format it in a computer ( fat32 ) and stick it in...

Don't have a Q+ so can't test but what OS for the app? Have you tried a browser?
