Looking at the Arlo Q Plus but all the pics show a big ugly PoE adapter on a short cable to the camera. I currently have Logitech Alert cameras wall mounted with the Cat6 cable going into the roof space back to a PoE switch.
I'd want to mount these in a similar way but that big ugly PoE adapter looks huge. What are the options for wall mounting these cameras without having that showing? Why couldn't it just have a network port on the camera?
Big negative for me.

You should also note that the Q Plus uses a USB 3.0 micro-USB connector for the POE adapter.  This means that a simple micro-USB extender (i.e. phone charger extension) won't work.  I'm not sure why it uses this connector, as USB 3.0 speeds are not needed for the 100 Base-T POE connection.  It might not even be a standard USB connection at all.

Can anyone who has seen this camera comment on the length of the cable between the camera and the PoE box?

Thanks for measuring. Much appreciated.
Looks a bit short to hide on the other side of a brick wall. Bummer!
