Does the POE adapter handle both power and wired internet connection? I dont have WIFI covereage in the spot I want to put it.

Yes it does... POE stands for power over ethernet. But keep in mind that your router/switch must support POE ( supply power )

Also, you can use the Ethernet connection without PoE but you'll have to use the USB power supply to do so.

You could also use a POE injector if your switch doesn't support POE, I have use this with the Arlo Q Plus
