new router, base station wont connect, flashing green internet light

The cameras are synced.  Power light is  steady green, camera light is steady green, but internet is flashing green and is not discoverable when I am on my laptop.  I also do not have a little pin to stick in the reset hole..  not sure if that's the button, but the staple i have did not work.

Flashing internet light is usually OK. Is it a continuous flash or flash flash flash pause flash flash flash etc.

When you log in to https://arlo.netgear.com/#/login what happens?

What do you see?

Before doing a reset try powering th base on and off.

A paper clip will work. Hold in until all the leds flash amber and then release.

It says it is not found and to try the hard reset, so i attempted the hard reset but it never did..  found another item to try now,, more sturdy.

It says it is not found and to try the hard reset, so i attempted the hard reset but it never did..  found another item to try now,, more sturdy.

ok.. still did not reset after holding for a very long time.,  it intermittently goes from solid green on the internet to flashing, but cant be discovered.

Only hold in the reset button for about 10 seconds until all lights flash amber, press no other buttons to reset.

When adding a device, I choose BASE STATION; however, the troubleshooting screen says to push reset and sync simultaneously for 10seconds. that doesnt work either.  I have also tried to add device by selecting WIRELESS and then choosing BASE STATION, that only really adds cameras to sync.   The picture of the RESET button on the HELP section is not located where mine is, so it made me wonder if i was doing it correctly.  I have done this before, but moved the cameras from one house to another.

It is incorrect.... do NOT hold in the sync button

Reset is hold in the RESET for about ten secs, till the leds flash amber  ( nothing else )
