I am unable to change the motion sensitivity under the armed?mode setting.  Considering throwing the whole system away.  Shadows set the cameras off

You've already discovered the setting in the Armed mode. Now you just need to save the setting. Use the Back link in the app or the Edit Rule link in the browser to go back one page and use the Save there.
