Looks like my 5+ year-old VMB4000 base station has died.  I'm getting no lights, no amber, nothing.  Unless I missed it, it doesn't look like the company carries this as a product.  So where's the best place to get a new one if you're no longer patronizing Amazon?

The current version is the VMB4540.   The only drawback is that it doesn't have the siren.

It's possible that the power adapter is what failed.  You could also do a risk-buy of a compatible adapter and see if that brings the VMB4000 back to life.

I see they're about 10 bucks at Walmart.  Would be a nice savings if the station's OK.  Is there any data/experience showing adapter vs. base station failures?

I have seen other users say that buying a new adapter fixed this issue.  There are no guarantees though, since the failure could be the power circuitry in the base itself.
