When I receive motion notification, videos start in color, flashes bright & changes to black & white

Every time my cameras sense motion and record video, including during bright daylight, the first second is full color, then there's a flash, then each video changes to black and white. I've seen a similar post note the same problem, and the "solution" was that it must be low light. But, this happens every time, even in sunlight.

Note these are two different cameras (connected to the same Arlo Pro Base Station).

 

Also, I can watch live video feed and it stays in color. But the videos triggered by sensing motion go to black and white.

Not sure why live view would stay in color but there's enough shadow there that the cameras could trip the threshold causing it to use B&W. Move a camera to a place where there's more sun and less shadow (front of the house?) to see if that makes a difference.
