I am attempting to connect an external hard drive to my Arlo for recording.  I tried to login online, but got the error message shown.  Any info about fixing the issue for login, and for formatting the drive would be greatly appreciated.

The development team made some backend fixes and should now be resolved for anyone who was not able to log in to the web portal.

If you're still experiencing this problem or receiving an error, please let us know.

my-arlo-com_login.PNGCan't log in in the Web Portal my.arlo.com, whenever browser I try (Chrome 90.0.4430.93, Edge 90.0.818.56 or Firefox 88.0.1 all 64-bit) or OS (Windows 10 and macOS 11 Big Sur) it simply doesn’t log in.  Only by using a VPN and switching to Canada and US I was able to log in, see videos on library, live footage, settings - all things just work, but no way to do it without the VPN.

Arlo app (Android and iOS), in other hand, doesn’t show any difficult to log in.

Use the Contact Support link at the bottom here to raise pressure. There have been a number of similar complaints here but a user forum can't fix it.

There are several reports of this.  You might try contacting support (I don't expect you'll get an immediate solution, but more support requests will likely help escalate it).

I have a week trying to login into my account, this response appears in red: 🙄

Arlo support is not very helpful.

The my.arlo.com website is broken with a CORS error on the invoke of the Api and Arlo have not been able to solve that. Is anyone able to login on this website?
I have seen many different topics around this problem but none has a solution for it.

I log into it all the time with no errors.  Currently I'm using Edge (  90.0.818.56 ) and Chrome ( 90.0.4430.212 ).

Do you have any browser extensions or internet security software running?

No, no browser extensions or internet security software running here.

Same problem on Mobile, windows computer and tablet.

Already try on Chrome (many devices), Samsung Internet Browser, Edge (computer) and even on the old Internet Explorer... all with the same problem: Http failure response for https://ocapi-app.arlo.com/api/auth: 0 Unknown Error

Doing a browser debug it's a CORS problem:

Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://ocapi-app.arlo.com/api/auth' from origin 'https://my.arlo.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource.

I don't know what all this means but a search on "ocapi" brings me to Salesforce corporate stuff, (open commerce API) leading me to believe that it's some sort of connection between Arlo and Salesforce or a service Salesforce provides.

Introduction To Commerce Cloud's Open Commerce API's (OCAPI)

Commerce Cloud's platform surfaces a full set of RESTful Open Commerce API's (OCAPI). OCAPI allows external web applications to interface with core e-commerce functionality like cart, checkout, and search, as well as provides data object access to entities like product and catalog. Are you in the US?

If you use Chrome there is a workaround - you could install the Moeif Origin & CORS changer (and only use it with my.arlo.com).  But you shouldn't have to do that.

FWIW, I am not seeing this error in my browser debug screens.

Appears to have been fixed now, at least for my locale (Central Europe).

It seems that the problem still or again exists. I can not log in and get the same error on May 14. 2021.

Thanks for helping
