Do you have more information?  My geofencing appears to be better on V2.6.2 for iOS 12.1 that it was on V2.6.1.  I’m running iPhone X, XS, iPad Air 2, original 12.9” IPad Pro, 11” iPad Pro and a 10.5” iPad Pro on which I’m still running V2.5.5.  All are running iOS 12.1.
