Hi,

I have just added an Arlo Pro VMC4030 to my existing VMB3000 base station.

The existing station already has a Q VMC3040 and a VMC3030 connected these are great and I can see and modify them both in "Mode" tab.

The new Pro works well and I can see it no problem on "Device" tab.

I cannot see the Pro in "Mode" tab, therefore I am unable to modify preferences.

I have hard reset all units and the problem occurs with both mobile and PC access.

I believe I am running current software and FW.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks

Richard

The camera should automatically show up in the Armed mode.  If you're using custom modes, you'll need to manually add a rule for the new camera in each mode.

Thank you for the reply

I have attached further screenshots.

As you can see all 3 cameras are displayed in Devices tab

When Mode is selected only Cam 3 (sadly picture depicts base station) and Cam 2 Q are listed

The Pro Cam 1 is not listed therefore I am unable to modify its rules.

Cheers,

Select your base (click on it) and your modes will be seen.  Sounds like you are using the Armed mode (the default) so edit that using the > or pencil icon on the right and check it out.

Thank you

For unknown reason the base station appears to be dedicated to CAM 3 VMC3030

Yes I can add CAM 1 Pro VMC4030 to CAM 3 in custom mode, but this is tied to CAM 3 rules

Ideally the new Pro VMC4030 is required to be stand alone.

Very frustrating so far.

I believe it to be necassary to populate the Device list as pictured with ALL devices in the system.

Arlo, Pro, Q and base unit.

Hoping this may be escalated to software team

Kind Regards

Richard

I'm not sure exactly what you're having trouble with - I suspect you're just over-thinking things.

In the Mode tab, after you select your base, you get to the available modes.  The Armed mode is by default and is there to get you going with something that works as well as for troubleshooting.  There are limited options to modify it due to these needs.

It sounds like you essentially want to use each camera as if a separate system, ala the Q camera.  You do this by creating custom modes for the wireless cameras. You can't separate them since they're attached to the base but you can create modes that will suit your purposes for specific time periods.  Thus, one mode would have both cameras, another would have the original camera and a thrid would have only the Pro.  You can then manually set them active or, if appropriate, use the schedule.

Perhaps describing exactly how you want them to be used would be helpful.  Times, what's on, what's off, etc.
